Campanile

Campanile

Located in the center of campus, the Campanile is a six-story tower roofed in copper. It houses the carillon, a set of 43 cup-shaped bronze bells controlled by a keyboard in the music suite of the Visual and Performing Arts building. When you hear the lovely tones of the Westminster Chimes ringing every quarter hour or the big bell marking the top of the hour, you’re being reminded to “redeem the time.”

Academic Center

Academic Center

Drop by on a typical weekday morning, and you’ll see why this six-story building is easily one of the busiest spots on campus. Stroll the hallways, and you’ll catch glimpses of students in classes, conducting experiments in science labs, printing off papers in one of the general computer labs, or congregating outside the Lyceum, a 264-seat lecture hall.

Library

Library

You won’t want to leave campus without getting a tour of the Rebekah Horton Library. Last time we counted, library collections included more than 320,000 volumes, plus over 500 current periodicals and materials from online databases. Open stacks, spacious study areas, and wireless Internet access make this the perfect place to study. Don’t miss out on touring our collection of rare Bibles in the Bible Manuscript Room or visiting the old-fashioned One-Room Schoolhouse’s exhibit of historical and educational materials.

MacKenzie

If you follow the crowd of backpack-wearing students on the sidewalks, you’ll probably end up inside the MacKenzie Building. If you think the six-story lobby is impressive, wait till you see the specialized laboratories for nursing, chemistry, and engineering courses or take a peak in the MacKenzie Great Hall. Oh, and don’t forget to ride the glass elevators up to sixth floor to catch a show in the 100-seat planetarium.

Dale Horton Auditorium

Dale Horton Auditorium

The Dale Horton Auditorium is named in honor of Jesse Dale Horton, father of PCC’s founder Dr. Arlin Horton. With a capacity of 3,500, it’s one of the largest performing arts auditoriums in the Southeast. The auditorium seating was originally designed for the Lincoln Center in Washington, D.C., but that’s not all that makes this building unique. Check out the 250,000-pound California clay mural on the circular lobby wall. It depicts biblical events from Creation all the way to the Second Coming of Christ.

Crowne Centre

Crowne Centre

It’s where college chapel, Campus Church services, and ceremonies like Commencement take place. Take a seat on the main floor or ride the glass elevator up to the top of the balcony. Either way, the big screen above the pulpit will give you a great view so you won’t miss anything happening on the platform.
