Camp o' the Pines

Welcome

<p><font face="arial, sans-serif">Camp o' the Pines is an affordable, Christian week-long overnight camp nestled among the wooded hills of North Florida's Escambia County. It's a refreshing outdoor retreat and an active hands-on adventure.</font></p><p><font face="arial, sans-serif">Campers are immersed in a variety of indoor&nbsp;<i>and&nbsp;</i>outdoor activities, like zip lining, team competitions, arts and crafts, archery, swimming (with water slides!), and more. Throughout the week, they participate in&nbsp;<i>every</i>&nbsp;activity–so each day brings a new, fresh experience. At the end of the day, campers hit the bunks in furnished, air-conditioned cabins for a good night's sleep.</font><o:p></o:p></p>

Cabins

<p><font face="arial, sans-serif">With all the fun activities, you won't do much more than sleep here. You'll stay in air-conditioned, carpeted cabins with indoor bathrooms and drawer space for clothes.&nbsp;<i>(One leader and staff member will be present, with a maximum of 18 campers per cabin.)</i></font><o:p></o:p></p>

Cabins

Sand Volleyball Court

<p><font face="arial, sans-serif">Join a team of friends and cabin leaders to compete in friendly volleyball matches. This beach-like court lights up at night for after-dark volleyball games.</font><o:p></o:p></p>

Gazebo

<p><font face="arial, sans-serif">Take in the lake's beautiful scenery on the Gazebo, which houses the Camp's original bell in the belfry.</font><o:p></o:p></p>

Fishing Dock

<p><font face="arial, sans-serif">Bait your hook and cast a line in the lake to snag a largemouth bass, bream, catfish, or grass carp. Fishing poles and bait are provided.</font><o:p></o:p></p>

Paddle Boats

<p><font face="arial, sans-serif"><b>Canoeing</b><b><o:p></o:p></b></font></p><p><font face="arial, sans-serif">Learn paddling techniques and teamwork–and embrace your inner explorer–as you paddle around the lake's island in a flat-bottom canoe. Each canoe has a camp leader in it, and each person wears a life jacket.<o:p></o:p></font></p><p><b><font face="arial, sans-serif">Paddleboats</font></b></p><p><font face="arial, sans-serif">Grab 1-3 other campers and hop in a paddleboat to take a nice, easy cruise. Each camper is required to wear a life jacket and is supervised by a paddleboat instructor and cabin leader.</font></p><p><o:p></o:p></p>

Archery

<p><font face="arial, sans-serif">Learn this ancient skill and see if you can hit the bullseye in the archery range. You'll be taught proper handling skills and be closely supervised by instructors and cabin leaders. Younger campers aim at a closer, more manageable targets.</font><o:p></o:p></p>

Riflery

<p><font face="arial, sans-serif">Aim steady to hit targets using BB guns in our riflery range. But don't worry, Mom and Dad. Before your camper starts target practice, they'll learn important techniques and safety measures from an experienced instructor. During riflery practice, camp leaders and instructors will always be there to help campers.</font><o:p></o:p></p>

Game Field

<p><font face="arial, sans-serif">Go head-to-head against other campers in a variety of games and races to earn ribbons for your National or American League team. You'll also put your teamwork (and muscles) to the test during tug-of-war.</font><o:p></o:p></p>

Zip Lines

<p><font face="arial, sans-serif">Soar through the air on one (or both!) of our zip lines. The first gives you a bird's-eye view of your cabin and the lake. The second–for more adventurous campers–sails between tall pine trees and glides over the lake.&nbsp;</font><i><font face="arial, sans-serif">(Trained camp personnel are present at zip lines.)</font><o:p></o:p></i></p>
